Russia’s Uncom OS introduced an update based on the GNOME 45 shell

The Russian Uncom OS has been updated with a new visualization and control system based on the GNOME 45 shell. GNOME 45 offers optimized search engine, reduced resource consumption and improved video playback and screencasting. The new Uncom OS update also promises to improve the usability and modernity of the system for users. The updated version includes custom icons and wallpapers from the Uncom OS Chief Designer.

A new version of the Uncom OS is also available.

GNOME 45.2 also updated the Mutter window manager and composite, with improved support for tablet devices in X11 and disabling the hardware cursor in cases where it should be blocked by the backend. Mutter 45.2 has also fixed crashes and a few other bugs.
