Xiaomi has launched its flagship Buds 6 headphones

Xiaomi has officially unveiled its new flagship Buds 6 wireless headphones. The model belongs to the semi-on-ear category and has gone on sale at a price of $99. The headphones are available in four colors: Nebula Purple, Pearl White, Titanium Gold, and Moon Shadow Black.
Xiaomi Buds 6 are designed in a semi-in-ear form factor with a focus on comfort and light weight. Each earpiece weighs approximately 4.4 grams. The company has used a biomimetic curved shape for a more comfortable fit for extended wear. The stem is 12% narrower, the sound channel — 11.3% thinner, and the contact area with the ear has increased by 8.8%, allowing for more even pressure distribution and less fatigue during prolonged listening.
At the same time, the earbuds have been designed to be more comfortable for long periods of time.
The charging case has a compact, rounded design that fits comfortably in the hand. The Nebula Purple version features a special reflective coating that emphasizes the premium nature of the device.
The Buds 6 utilizes a proprietary three-magnet dynamic system with a 24-karat gold-plated diaphragm inside. This design delivers 40% higher sensitivity in the low frequencies and 30% better high frequency response. The claimed frequency range is from 16Hz to 40kHz for a balanced sound across the entire spectrum.
Xiaomi has worked with the Harman Golden Ear team to customize the sound. Users have access to Harman AudioEFX profiles for clearer vocals, Master mode with a warmer character and enhanced bass, as well as EQ and manual adjustments via the Xiaomi Earbuds app. The headphones support 24-bit / 48kHz audio with bitrate up to 2.1Mbps and SBC, AAC, aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless codecs. Snapdragon Sound support and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification are also claimed.
Buds 6 features active noise cancellation and a three-microphone system with AI noise-canceling algorithms. Xiaomi claims the system works effectively even in wind speeds of up to 12 m/s. Spatial audio with built-in head tracking allows you to get a surround sound effect without additional equipment.
The headphones support independent audio recording either by the headphones themselves or through the case, even when the case is closed. When using compatible Xiaomi devices, real-time speech transcription, AI summarization, face-to-face translation and simultaneous translation functions are available. There is also support for Xiaomi Find and Apple Find My services to find your device.
