Xiaomi 17 Ultra will get a triple rear camera
Xiaomi 17 Ultra rumored to be coming out earlier than planned — leaks point to a possible announcement as early as late December. The flagship is expected to get major improvements in mobile photography, and now new details about its cameras have surfaced online.
The leaked images of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Photography Kit reveal that the smartphone will feature a triple main camera. At first glance, this is a step back from the four-camera setup of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, but the upgraded system could be even better. Last year’s model used two telephoto cameras, and according to new reports Xiaomi plans to ditch the 50 MP module with 3x optical zoom to replace it with a more advanced telephoto lens.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to get a 50 MP OVX10500U main sensor, a 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL S5KHPE telephoto lens, and a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera (OV50M or S5KJN5). The 50 MP OV50M sensor can be used for selfies.

The flagship, according to leaks, will be built on the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and run HyperOS 3.
