Xiaomi 17 Pro will get a universal add-on screen, the series has passed Geekbench tests

The Xiaomi 17 series is expected to launch in China as early as late September. Amid the upcoming premiere, the company continues to share details, revealing exclusive features of the Pro models. Simultaneously, Xiaomi 17 and 17 Pro benchmark results have appeared in the Geekbench database.

According to official teasers, the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max will feature a large secondary display built into the main camera unit. The screen supports various usage scenarios:
- Designing hourly themes and animated wallpapers,
- display virtual avatars and personalized GIFs,
- preview selfies on the main camera,
- Fast access to control your smart home or car,
- contextual shortcuts that change based on location or network.
According to insiders, the Xiaomi 17 Pro will get a 6.3-inch screen and a 6,300mAh battery, while the Pro Max — 6.8-inch display and a 7,500mAh battery.
Geekbench: Xiaomi 17 and 17 Pro
The Geekbench benchmark has revealed devices with model numbers 25113PN0EC and 25098PN5AC, which are expected to be the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Pro.
The two smartphones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with Adreno 840 graphics, equipped with 16GB of RAM and Android 16 operating system. The processor configuration includes two 4.61GHz cores and six 3.63GHz cores.
- Xiaomi 17 — 3156 points in the single-core test and 9254 points in the multi-core test.
- Xiaomi 17 Pro — 3025 and 9178 points respectively.


What to expect from the premiere
A growing number of leaks confirm that the Xiaomi 17 series will be positioned as a flagship series. The company’s main focus is on combining high autonomy, performance, and new interaction scenarios through the optional screen.
The official unveiling will take place in China at the end of the month, and that’s when pricing and full specs will be revealed.
