Realme Neo 8 will get Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 8000 mAh battery and IP69 protection
Just a few days before the official announcement, Realme has revealed new details about the Neo 8 smartphone. The device will be unveiled in China on January 22 and will get a flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor.
In a series of posts on Weibo, Realme confirmed the key specifications of the new product. The smartphone will be equipped with an 8,000mAh battery, which is 1,000mAh more than the Neo 7. It also became known that the device will be protected from water and dust by IP66, IP68 and IP69 standards, and for unlocking will be used 3D-ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

The Neo 8’s screen is based on Samsung’s M14 OLED sensor with a refresh rate of 165Hz. Crystal Armor glass is used to protect the display. Other confirmed features include — a linear vibration motor on the X-axis, powerful stereo speakers with linear tuning, an infrared sensor, multi-angle NFC and dual-frequency GPS.

The smartphone will run the Realme UI 7.0 shell, and the manufacturer has promised three years of operating system updates. The Neo8 will come in three colors: Cyber Purple, Mecha Grey, and Origin White.

The smartphone’s camera features a triple module on the back with support for digital zoom up to 120x, as well as an LED strip built into the camera unit.
