OnePlus has started teasering the 15R smartphone and a new smartwatch

OnePlus has started a teaser campaign of two new devices on its website at once. We’re talking about the OnePlus 15R smartphone and the company’s as yet unnamed «new» smartwatch.
According to the image and past experience, the OnePlus 15R will likely turn out to be a renamed version of the OnePlus Ace 6, which was released in China a month ago. Compared to last year’s OnePlus 13R, the Ace 6 gets a slightly larger display, a new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and a huge 7,800mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. However, the device has lost the telephoto lens, keeping the rest of the cameras familiar from the 13R.
If the company goes down the same path again, the OnePlus 15R will become the Ace 6 with minimal exterior changes. OnePlus could theoretically update the cameras, but there’s no confirmation of that at the moment. In any case, users will only get two rear cameras this year — despite the 13R finally getting a separate telephoto lens. It looks like OnePlus is still downgrading the photo capabilities of its 15 series models relative to the previous generation.
A parallel teaser page for the new smartwatch has appeared on OnePlus’ European website. It shows only a silhouette of the device — without specs, images or even an official name. For now, the product is labeled simply as «New Watch». The watch is expected to be unveiled at the same time as the OnePlus 15R and then it will go on sale.
