Lenovo has launched the AI Glasses V1 smart glasses

Lenovo has unveiled the AI Glasses V1 smart glasses in China, priced at 3,999 yuan (about $562). Sales will begin on November 9 on the JD.com platform. The new product is aimed at users who want smart features in a lightweight and convenient form factor.

Lenovo AI Glasses V1 weighs just 38 grams and features a light diffractive resin-based light-emitting diode display that delivers peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits. The lenses are 1.8mm thick and the field of view is — 15×11mm, which helps keep the image clear even with slight head movement. According to the manufacturer, the design reduces pressure on the nose and ears, allowing you to wear the glasses for long periods of time without discomfort.

The device is equipped with two microphones and two speakers for stereo sound and hands-free calling. Tianxi’s intelligent voice assistant is integrated into the glasses, supporting voice control, information query and simultaneous translation function. The translation is displayed directly in the user’s field of view and works as a visual interpreter, providing two-way voice and text communication.

There is a special teleprompter mode for content creators and speakers. Using Lenovo’s proprietary «smart ring», you can scroll through scripted text or control slides without taking your eyes off the audience.

The device’s earbuds feature a touchpad that can be used to control calls, messages and displayed content. The glasses also feature an AI navigation system that provides real-time visual and audio cues. Currently, this feature only works with Android smartphones. Both monocular and binocular display modes are supported.
