Taiwan’s ONGLAISAT microsatellite has demonstrated its world-class optical capabilities by capturing 2.5-meter resolution images from an orbit about 400 kilometers above Earth. This achievement is remarkable because it may be the highest resolution image ever taken by a small cubesat.Speaking of small, the satellite is about the size of a suitcase. The satellite was developed jointly by ArkEdge Space of Japan and the Aerospace Laboratory of the University of Tokyo, using optical equipment from the Taiwan Space Agency.
