Samsung has unveiled a luxury version of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 with satellite support

The main technical difference between the W26 and the standard version is the satellite communication module. This feature is not yet available in the global versions of the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The device supports text and picture messaging, as well as data over the T-Mobile network in the U.S. Samsung also paid attention to bundling details. The smartphone comes in an exquisite box that includes, in addition to the device itself, a Kevlar case, charging cable and — a rarity by today’s standards — a full-fledged AC adapter. The W26’s specs are slightly ahead of the original Fold 7. It has 16GB of RAM regardless of storage capacity (512GB or 1TB), while the standard model’s 512GB version has only 12GB of RAM. The device also gets a few exclusive Galaxy AI tools, including Smart Collection, which lets you drag and drop images and text into a separate space for easy content management. The Samsung W26 is priced at 16,999 yuan (about $2,383) for the 512GB version and 18,999 yuan (about $2,663) for the 1TB storage model. The smartphone will only be available in China — there are no plans for an international release. The smartphone will be available in China only — there are no plans for an international release. The W series has traditionally been produced by Samsung exclusively for the Chinese market in partnership with operator China Telecom. These devices are aimed less at the masses and more at an audience that values status and premium design, so the W26 will be sold in China alongside the regular Galaxy Z Fold 7.
