Main Features:

  • An affordable alternative – Samsung’s first foldable phone in the Fan Edition (FE) lineup, which will be cheaper than the flagship Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7.
  • Network support – 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC.
  • Performance – will probably get an Exynos 2400 processor (judging by Geekbench benchmarks).

What else is known?

  • The FCC has confirmed support for wireless charging and reverse charging, but wired charging speeds have yet to be disclosed.
  • The expected price in South Korea is around 1 million won (~$740).
  • The announcement may take place simultaneously with the premium Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 models.

When to wait?

The exact release date has not yet been announced, but FCC and BIS certification (for India) indicates that a release is just around the corner.

Why is this important?

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE could make foldable phones more affordable, expanding Samsung’s audience. If the pricing information is confirmed, it will be one of the cheapest flip smartphones on the market.
