Realme unveiled GT8 Pro – the first smartphone with an interchangeable camera module

Realme has unveiled its new flagship GT8 Pro, which is the company’s first smartphone with a fully replaceable camera module. This device not only stands out with its unusual design, but also offers powerful flagship-level performance.
The GT8 Pro features a unique camera module mounting system: the body is secured with two Torx screws and magnets, allowing users to quickly change the smartphone’s design. Realme will offer users different styles — round, square and «robotic» modules, which will be sold through the brand’s branded stores.

Realme also posted a 3D model of the module in *.3mf format so users can print their own designs on a 3D printer. The company has even launched a contest for the most creative design in collaboration with MakerWorld.
But the GT8 Pro doesn’t just stand out for its looks. It’s also the first smartphone created through a partnership between Realme and Ricoh. Video can be shot in up to 8K resolution at 30fps.
