Xiaomi 17 Pro has been unveiled. It got a second screen on the back and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

Xiaomi has unveiled the 17 Pro flagship smartphone in China. The model stands out not only with a new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, but also with an additional AMOLED display on the camera unit. The price of the device starts at 4,999 yuan (about $702).
Display and second Magic Back Screen
The smartphone gets a 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2656 × 1220 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate and brightness up to 3500 nits.
The main feature of the model — a second 2.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 904 × 572 dots, the same 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. It’s built into the camera unit and can be used for notifications, clock display, or as a viewfinder for selfies on the main camera.

Cameras with Leica optics
The cameras have been developed in conjunction with Leica. The main sensor is — 50MP Light Hunter 950L, complemented by a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x zoom and optical stabilization, as well as a 50MP ultra-wide-angle module. The front-facing camera is also 50MP.
The company noted extended dynamic range and new lens coatings that reduce glare.


Performance and battery life
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor is responsible for the performance, providing a boost in CPU, GPU and AI performance over the last generation.
The 6,300mAh battery supports 100W fast wired charging. In comparison, the standard Xiaomi 17 has a 7,000mAh battery, but the Pro version takes up some of the space with a 5x periscopic lens and an additional display.
Dimensions and weight
The dimensions are 151.1 × 71.8 × 8 mm and weigh — 192 g. In comparison, the Galaxy S25+ is noticeably larger at a similar weight, but has a smaller battery.
