Huawei’s next flip smartphone may not only get fresh colors and memory options, but also more powerful «hardware». According to insider @SuperDimensional on Weibo, the new Huawei Nova Flip S could come powered by a Kirin 8020 or Kirin 8030 processor.

The Kirin 8020 that’s in the Nova 14 Ultra includes a single 2.285GHz core, three 2.05GHz cores, and four energy-efficient 1.3GHz cores. At the same time, the likelihood of a Kirin 8030 chip remains high as well.
In comparison, the standard Nova Flip got the Kirin 8000 with a main core up to 2.40GHz. Moving to the 8020 or 8030 could give the device more stable performance, better thermal efficiency, and improved 5G quality, even if the smartphone remains in the mid-range segment.

The Nova Flip S is rumored to be very similar in design to its predecessor, but will come in new colors and receive minor hardware tweaks. Among the expected colors are — pink, white, blue , glossy and matte black, and green.
On the software level, the smartphone should ship with HarmonyOS 5.1. The external display is likely to remain the same — a 2.14-inch square screen next to the camera. The main screen, as before, could be 6.94-inch.
More details about the Huawei Nova Flip S should be expected closer to the end of 2025, when it will be officially unveiled.
