Huawei Mate 80 Pro+ will get LTPO OLED screen and eSIM support

Insider Digital Chat Station has published the first details about the upcoming Huawei Mate 80 Pro+ flagship. The company hasn’t confirmed the existence of the model yet, but the leak reveals key improvements to the screen, performance and cameras.
Screen and cameras
According to the source, the Huawei Mate 80 Pro+ will feature a 6.88-inch LTPO Tandem OLED display with 1.5K resolution and light micro-edge bending. The «tandem» dual-layer OLED technology should deliver improved brightness, energy efficiency and extended screen life.

A single selfie camera is expected at the front, coupled with a 3D ToF sensor, presumably in a triple notch. The main unit at the back will get a 50-megapixel 1/1.28-inch LOFIC sensor with variable aperture and a 48-megapixel periscopic camera with a 3P+3P system for long-range and macro shooting.
Performance and connectivity
The smartphone is rumored to be powered by the new Kirin 9030 chipset, which promises better power efficiency compared to the Kirin 9020. Battery capacity will exceed 6,000 mAh, and charging speeds will be 100W via cable and 80W wirelessly.

When to expect the premiere
The Huawei Mate 80 series, including the Pro+ model, could be released in November alongside the new foldable Mate X7. All the devices will run HarmonyOS 6, which will introduce features based on artificial intelligence.
