The Yandex Music team has expanded access to My Wave’s AI-powered sets, making them available not only in the mobile app but also on major home listening platforms. Neural network DJ sets can now be played in the service’s web version, in the desktop app, and on smart speakers with the Alice voice assistant.

The service has introduced a special AI set called “New Year’s Eve” for the holiday season. In it, New Year’s music is selected individually for each user and combined by a neural network into a complete DJ set. This format allows you to maintain a festive mood and continuous energy without abrupt transitions between tracks.

AI sets as a way to find new music

My Wave’s AI-sets have become an additional tool for users to discover music. After launching the feature in the mobile app, the service noticed an increase in listener engagement. The Party AI set was the most popular, with users adding tracks to their collection on average 42% more often when listening to it compared to the regular Party setting, where songs are not combined into a DJ set.

This effect is achieved through neural network integration. Music in AI-sets sounds like a single stream, with no lapses in dynamics or unexpected mood changes. Algorithms select the most vibrant and energetic track fragments and provide smooth transitions between them.

Genres, scenarios and sound quality

Plus subscribers can access My Wave’s AI-powered sets across more than 70 genres of electronic music, from techno and house to drum ‘n’ bass and jangle. Users can choose sets for different scenarios such as “Party”, “On the Road” or “Working out”, as well as for moods such as “Joyful” or “Energetic”. The New Year’s AI set complements this set and is geared towards a festive atmosphere.
