The law explicitly prohibits the posting and distribution of content with elements of pornography on the Kyrgyz Internet.
The moment of distribution is considered to be either the first availability of the content on the Internet in the country or the moment when a state body receives information about it.
Who will block websites and how
If pornographic content is detected, an authorized body decides to suspend a website or a separate page on the Internet. The blocking can last up to two months.
Internet providers, hosting companies, and website and page owners are obliged to comply with this decision. The law requires them to promptly block infringing content. Failure to comply will result in liability under the law on infringements.
