Hidden, an “anti-OnlyFans” platform created by sex workers, is entering the 18+ marketplace
Hidden’s new site, run by sex workers, launches amid tightening rules for OnlyFans and the service’s expansion beyond the adult industry. Hidden offers content creators more control over revenue and working conditions.
How the Hidden project came about and how it’s different
Stilla Bairey rose to prominence on TikTok in the early days of Pandemic, where she talked about sexuality and relationships. This popularity led her to OnlyFans, where she made $8,000 in her first month, then $40,000, and later her 30-day income reached $300,000. Five and a half years of steady work on several sites in a row convinced her of the need for a platform with fairer conditions.
In April 2025, Bairy launched Hidden, the first adult platform created and run by sex workers. She positions it as the “anti-OnlyFans” and aims to prove that the industry can be reshaped by the people who work in it.
And she’s been working to make the case that the industry can be reshaped by the people who work in it.
Hidden is like a TikTok version of OnlyFans: the ForYou homepage features clips of a variety of adult content, from BDSM and oral sex to toy videos and lingerie clips. The main idea is an improved content discovery system. According to Bairy, creators don’t have to drive all the traffic to their pages themselves. The algorithmic feed helps those with small audiences attract subscribers faster.

- commission – 18% (OnlyFans has 20%);
- chargeback protection up to $2,500;
- store for buying large video packages;
- personal liaison manager who responds within 24 hours;
Many such elements are found on other sites but hidden in different services; Hidden brings them together in one place for the first time.
Market pressure: OnlyFans introduces verification, Pornhub already uses verification
In November, OnlyFans CEO Kylie Blair announced on LinkedIn that it was launching background checks for new content creators in the US. Details of the criteria were not disclosed. Bairey notes that tightening the rules won’t stop adult creators from working: the activity is legal, and the Hidden platform is an alternative.
The only thing that will stop adult creators from creating content is the fact that they are not allowed to do so.
Hidden’s new features and the arrival of Lana Rhodes in management
On Dec. 4, Hidden will hold its first Goon-A-Thon event. At it, it will announce that porn actress Lana Rhodes is becoming co-owner and creative director. The platform will also unveil a ranking table of the top 20 creators standing in the top 20 for the day. Top creators and the most active buyers will be eligible for prizes of up to $30,000.
Rowds emphasizes that today’s platforms suffer from a lack of transparency: authors don’t understand the reasons for falling views, delayed payouts or shady restrictions. The problem, she says, is that most services are built by people who haven’t faced the risks and peculiarities of the industry. Hidden, she believes, can offer a different approach because “the people running the platform have been through the experience themselves.”

Audience growth and development plans
Now there are 115,000 registered users (mostly men) and over 2,200 creators (mostly women) on Hidden.
- a clothing line;
- full-length movies;
- educational events;
- offline events.
The platform will gradually introduce AI tools, including a CRM for audience analysis, pricing customization, and message management. Such systems now cost authors $200-300 a month, but Hidden plans to make them available for free.

Despite the skepticism, Bairy is confident in the project’s future: “A lot of people said nothing would come along besides OnlyFans. But against a backdrop of changing legislation and growing conservative sentiment, it’s good to know that we already have a platform that no one can kick us off of tomorrow.”
