Reasons for the postponement and confidence in the release

According to Ubisoft CFO Frederic Duguet, the postponement allowed the game to be brought to a perfect state as it was nearing completion. Ubisoft intends to avoid mistakes like those that affected the commercial performance of Star Wars Outlaws due to insufficient finalization. Competing with Ghost of Yōtei

Sony’s Ghost of Yōtei game, also based on historical events in Japan, will launch in 2025, which has raised questions about the competitiveness of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. However, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot expressed confidence in the potential of both projects, noting that there is always a place in the market for quality games.
