Ayaneo is preparing to release an affordable retro console, the Pocket Air Mini

Ayaneo continues to aggressively develop its lineup of handheld gaming consoles. Amidst the high-profile announcements of the Pocket DS and KONKR Pocket FIT, the company has revealed a new device for the first time — the compact and budget-friendly Pocket AIR Mini console.
Pocket AIR Mini looks similar to the Pocket AIR 2023, Ayaneo’s first Android console, but with smaller dimensions and a lower price. The new product features a 4.2-inch screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio and 1280 × 960 resolution, providing «pixel-for-pixel» upscaling to 4× for PlayStation and N64 games, and 2× for the Dreamcast. Older systems will be displayed with virtually no black bars.
The company showed off a full range of color options, including a special Retro Power version, but detailed specs, pricing and release date have yet to be revealed. According to Ayaneo CEO Arthur Zhang, the Pocket AIR Mini will cost less than $140, making it the brand’s most affordable console and the first in the new CODE-R lineup of budget devices.

Pocket AIR Mini also acts as a bonus for buyers of the Pocket S2 and KONKR Pocket FIT, which will start shipping in October.
Ayaneo also launched a KONKR sub-brand focused on more affordable devices in early 2025. Its first product, the KONKR Pocket FIT, is priced from $239 and competes with the AYN Odin 3.
Despite the lack of official launch details, the Pocket AIR Mini appears to be on the market soon.
