Samsung is preparing to launch budget Galaxy Buds 3 FE headphones

Samsung is reportedly preparing to launch its new Fan Edition series of headphones, the Galaxy Buds 3 FE, by the end of this year. These headphones will join the growing lineup of Fan Edition devices, and a new leaked image shows what kind of update the Galaxy Buds FE series will get.
Samsung is reportedly preparing to launch the Galaxy Buds 3 FE series of headphones later this year.
The first image of the Galaxy Buds 3 FE was published by insider Evan Blass. What’s interesting: it looks like Samsung is going straight to the Buds 3 FE, bypassing the Buds 2 FE – at least judging by the latest leaks.
Galaxy Buds 3 FE appears to take the same design approach as the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro. The earbuds now have feet with a touch-sensitive area that lets you conveniently adjust volume, switch between active noise canceling and surround sound modes, and control music playback.

Like the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, the new model has silicone ear cushions that provide better noise isolation – a distinct advantage over the Buds 3, which lacked ear cushions.
The Galaxy Buds 3 FE are also expected to get ANC and Ambient mode, just like their predecessors.
The headphones are also likely to include a host of artificial intelligence (Galaxy AI)-based features, including a real-time translator mode that will be especially useful for travelers.
A certain level of water and dust resistance is also expected, though the exact IP rating is not yet known. Other specs include Bixby integration, audio equalizer support, search functionality via Samsung Find, Bluetooth 5.4 with LE Audio support, and possibly integration with Gemini.
The Galaxy AI is expected to include a Bluetooth 5.4 with LE Audio support, and possibly Gemini integration as well.
Galaxy Buds 3 FE will likely be introduced at the same time as the Galaxy S25 FE. The Fan Edition lineup has grown considerably: originally just Galaxy S smartphones, but now there are FE versions of Buds, Galaxy Tab tablets, and even the foldable Galaxy Z Flip.
The Fan Edition models are more affordable versions of the flagship devices, with some compromises but still retaining most of the premium features.
Galaxy Buds 3 FE could be a great choice for those who want quality headphones with noise-canceling, touch controls, and smart features — all at a more affordable price. If Samsung delivers good sound, comfort, and standalone performance, these headphones could very well become a favorite for everyday use.
