Samsung adds Google Cast to its 2025 TV lineup

The world’s largest TV manufacturer, Samsung, has long avoided introducing some popular technologies such as Dolby Vision and Google Cast. However, the company announced that the 2025 hotel TVs will support Google Cast.

Samsung will unveil its 2025 lineup of TVs for hotels at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025 in Barcelona, Spain. The lineup includes models ranging from basic QLEDs to an updated version of The Frame TV.

Hotel guests will now be able to stream content from their smartphones to the TVs by simply scanning a QR code. In addition, the Model 2024 Crystal UHD TV (HBU8000) will also get Google Cast support. The TVs support AirPlay, which allows iPhone and iPad owners to stream content wirelessly.

Updated The Frame TV
The new lineup includes The Frame (HL03F) TV with a matte 4K QLED screen. Featuring Quantum Dots technology and an innovative dual backlighting system, the TV delivers:
- Bright colors.
- Deep contrast.
- Realistic image.
The model is equipped with a Slim-Fit Wall Mount, which allows the TV to fit snugly on the wall.
Art Mode allows you to display classic or contemporary art, as well as images that reflect the hotel’s style and branding. This mode is automatically activated when the TV is not in use.

Software and Smart Features
The TVs are powered by Tizen OS 9.0 with a revamped user interface that includes icons shaped like “squirrels.” The new OS provides:
- Simplified access to streaming services.
- Manage number features.
- Personalized services.
All devices are equipped with the LYNK Cloud platform, which enables:
- Manage devices remotely.
- Provide personalized content.
- Support OTT services (streaming over the internet).
A built-in e-commerce system offers the ability to order room service, book hotel services and utilize concierge service.
SmartThings Pro for easy management
With SmartThings Pro, hoteliers will be able to control TVs and other in-room devices such as air conditioners, lights and curtains, as well as integrate them with existing systems.
