Huawei Watch Ultimate 2: first renders and release date

Huawei is preparing to announce the Watch Ultimate 2 smartwatch, which will be the new flagship in its lineup of wearable devices. The presentation will take place on September 19 in Paris, and official renders of the future novelty have already appeared online.
According to WinFuture, Huawei hasn’t radically changed the concept of the model. The design of the Watch Ultimate 2 is largely the same as the first version, but the company has added important upgrades to the hardware and functionality.

Design and case dimensions
Watch Ultimate 2 will retain the 48.5mm case dimensions of the first-generation watch. This means that the model will provide the same visual impact on the wrist as its predecessor. The renders show two color options: an all-black variant and a model with a blue two-tone design. In both cases, the signature brutal and premium style of the Ultimate series is retained. The centerpiece is once again a large AMOLED display.

New technologies and features
The main change inside —the use of silicone battery, which is already used in the Huawei Watch GT 6. This technology provides up to 21 days of battery life in power-saving mode, making the device one of the most autonomous among premium smartwatches.
A new set of sensors is noticeable on the right side of the case. Their purpose hasn’t been officially revealed yet. From the looks of it, they may be related to the X-Tap system, which Huawei has already used in other devices. This technology could be responsible for advanced control functions or tracking of health parameters.

Cost and presentation date
Like the previous generation, the Watch Ultimate 2 will be positioned as a premium solution. According to sources, the watch will cost around €899 (approximately $1055). The official announcement will take place September 19 in Paris, at the same time as the Watch GT 6 lineup.
