CES 2025: Netgear unveils Orbi 870 Wi-Fi 7 system

Orbi 870 features a tri-band system that delivers speeds up to 21Gbps, and supports the latest technologies such as 320MHz bandwidth and 4K QAM. These features make the device future-ready, delivering denser data throughput and improved overall network performance.

One of the key features of the Orbi 870 is reliable feedback. The new model combines the 5GHz and 6GHz bands into a single channel, which improves connectivity stability. The device also offers extensive wired connectivity options, including a 10 Gigabit Internet port and four 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports on the router. Each of the system’s satellites also has four Ethernet ports.
Intuitive control via app
Like the rest of the Netgear lineup, the Orbi 870 supports management through the Orbi app. It allows users to:

Orbi 870 is available in two colors, black and white. A three-piece kit that includes the router and two satellites costs $1,300, while a two-piece kit will cost $1,000. Additional satellites can be purchased for $550 each.
