Casio unveils new G-Shock series with metal bezels and vibrant red displays

Casio has officially launched a new G-Shock collection in Japan, marrying metal bezels with striking red displays. The lineup includes four models: GM-110YRA-8JF, GM-2100YRA-8JF, GM-5600YRA-8JF, and GM-6900YRA-8JF.

These watches maintain the signature shock resistance and everyday practicality G-Shock is known for, but now come with a bolder look. Stainless steel bezels are paired with resin cases and soft silicone bands, delivering both durability and comfort. They’re water-resistant up to 200 meters and feature mineral glass, white LED backlighting, an automatic calendar, alarms, timers, and all the standard G-Shock functions.

The GM-110YRA-8JF is an analog-digital hybrid that sits in the premium segment of the range. Based on the popular 110 series, it stands out with a deep red dial, steel bezel, and the classic rugged G-Shock aesthetic. Meanwhile, the GM-2100YRA-8JF takes cues from the CasiOak series, boasting a slimmer case while also combining a red dial with metal accents. Both models are priced at 40,150 yen in Japan, roughly $260 USD.

The GM-5600YRA-8JF sticks to the iconic square digital design Casio fans love, but with the same bold stylistic elements. The GM-6900YRA-8JF features a larger, rounded case and equally vivid red display. These two variants are priced at 37,400 yen, or around $242.
