Apple is moving closer to production of the MacBook M5

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple’s newest models are about to go into mass production. In the latest issue of Power On newsletter, Gurman reported that Apple is “close to beginning mass production of the next MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and two new Mac monitors.” These refreshed products are scheduled for release later this year or early next year.

Apple’s new MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and two new Mac monitors are scheduled for mass production.

Earlier this year, Gurman noted that production of the MacBook Pro with the M5 processor is expected in the second half of 2025. It appears that Apple will maintain its usual release schedule, with the latest MacBook Pro coming in the fall and an updated MacBook Air in the spring. However, in the July issue of his newsletter, Gurman mentioned that “Apple is now planning to release the MacBook Pro early next year.”

In addition to future MacBook models, one of the two new Mac monitors – likely the Studio Display – is expected to be updated. First introduced in March 2022, the Studio Display could get an upgrade with a mini-LED display, as well as improvements to brightness and color reproduction, according to rumors.
