The Motorola Razr 60 Ultra foldable smartphone has started receiving a stable update to Android 16, ending a months-long wait for owners of the device. The major update brings various system improvements, new features and bug fixes.

For now, Motorola is rolling out the update for the Razr 60 Ultra in Brazil. The over-the-air update has build number W1VL36H.59-55-5 and moves the device to the current version of Android, while the smartphone was originally released with Android 15.

As is usually the case with major updates, the rollout is being done in stages. Therefore, some users may receive notification before others — it depends on region and carrier. If the update hasn’t arrived yet, you can check for it manually by going to «Settings» → «System» → «Software Update» and selecting «Check for Updates».

The new version of Android 16 brings a number of improvements to the Razr 60 Ultra aimed at improving convenience and everyday functionality. The system now has a unified modes section that brings together features such as «Do Not Disturb», «Sleep Mode» and «Driving Mode». Users can also create their own modes to suit different usage scenarios.

The process of connecting to the hotspot is simpler: If the smartphone and the device being connected share the same Google account, connecting to the Wi-Fi hotspot is a one-touch process without a password.

The update also improves support for low-power hearing aids. During calls, users can choose which microphone to use &#8212 either the smartphone’s built-in microphone or the hearing aid’s microphone for clearer voice transmission.

Besides new features, Android 16 brings fresh security patches as well as stability and performance improvements to the system. The update should be available in other regions soon.
