Max messenger is already used by more than 40 million people

The Max messenger development team has announced an important milestone: the service has more than 40 million registered users. Since the platform’s launch, users have made more than half a billion calls and sent more than two billion messages.
The developers also provided other statistics. More than 8,000 content creators from VKontakte, Zen, Telegram, and Odnoklassniki have joined Max to test the channels feature. In mid-September, Max launched in pilot mode the “Digital ID” function, which is an analog of paper documents for confirming the status of a student, a parent with many children, as well as age, for example, when buying goods in the 18+ category. “Digital ID” is being implemented in self-service checkouts of major Russian retailers such as Pyaterochka, Magnit and Perekrestok.
In September this year, MFC chatbots were launched in 39 regions of Russia as part of the national messenger. With the help of these chatbots, users can track the status of their applications, make an appointment, and receive background information on addresses, reception statistics, and the workload of the offices.

Reminder, Max is VK’s digital platform, which includes a messenger and a set of user services. The messenger features audio and video calls, chats, sending voice messages and large files, money transfers, and information channels in test mode. The platform integrates business services in the form of mini-applications and chatbots. The application is included in the register of domestic software. Max is available on various platforms: in mobile, desktop and web versions. From the beginning of September 2025, the Max messenger should be pre-installed on all smartphones and tablets sold in Russia. At the end of June 2025, the developers announced the registration of more than a million Max users, in August their number exceeded 18 million, in early September – 30 million, and by the middle of the month – 35 million.
