Ugreen unveils compact NeoDrive Go portable SSD with USB4 and speeds up to 3800 MB/s
Ugreen has expanded its storage lineup with the new NeoDrive Go portable SSD, featuring USB4 support. This ultra-compact drive fits in the palm of your hand-roughly the size of a bank card-and offers blistering data transfer speeds of up to 3800 MB/s, 1 TB of built-in storage, and enhanced durability. However, its premium features come with a noticeably higher price tag compared to most rivals.
In 2026, Ugreen is doubling down on storage solutions. Earlier this year at CES 2026, the company showcased AI-powered NAS systems and already sells hard drives and various NVMe enclosure options in the US, including a Thunderbolt 5 model capable of 80 Gbps throughput. The NeoDrive Go takes the next step, focusing heavily on portability without compromising performance.
The SSD measures just 8.8 × 5.5 × 1.2 cm and weighs a mere 70 grams-comparable to an AirPods Pro case. Despite its small size, it’s built tough, able to withstand drops from up to 2.1 meters thanks to a rugged eximer-based coating. The drive also comes with a braided, approximately 14 cm-long USB4 cable that can double as a wrist strap for easy carrying.

Thanks to USB4 support, the NeoDrive Go delivers speeds up to 3800 MB/s, though this requires a computer with a USB4 port or Thunderbolt 3 and above. When connected to standard USB-C devices, including smartphones, the drive will function but at reduced speeds. Ugreen highlights that the SSD can connect directly to an iPhone for recording ProRes 4K video at 120 frames per second, and its 1 TB capacity is enough to handle sizable video projects.
In the US, the 1 TB Ugreen NeoDrive Go is already available, priced at $500. This makes it significantly more expensive than many competitors, including other USB4 portable SSDs and even some 2 TB models – a potential dealbreaker depending on your budget.
