Philips has announced the release of a new 27-inch Evnia 27M2N6501L OLED gaming monitor for the European and UK markets. This monitor is part of the Evnia 6000 series and features a third-generation QD matrix, which is used in modern gaming OLED displays of the same size.

The monitor has a resolution of 2560 x 1440, a 240Hz refresh rate and a gray-to-gray response time of 0.3ms. Brightness reaches 200 nits in SDR and 400 nits in HDR at 10% APL. The panel supports 10-bit color depth and covers 98% of the Adobe RGB color space, 99% of DCI-P3, 147.5% of sRGB and 120% of NTSC. Philips also claims a Delta E value below 2 for sRGB color space accuracy. The contrast ratio is 1.5 million to 1.

The monitor has a number of gaming features. Stark ShadowBoost increases visibility in dark scenes, Smart Sniper adds a zoom window for precision aiming, and Smart Crosshair can change the color of the aiming mark depending on the background. ClearMR’s Tier 13000 ClearMR technology ensures images move smoothly. Built-in Ambiglow backlighting with artificial intelligence adapts to what’s happening on the screen and creates a three-dimensional glow effect on all three sides. The monitor also supports NVIDIA G-SYNC technology via DisplayPort.

In terms of interfaces, the device features one DisplayPort 1.4 port, two HDMI 2.1 ports, one USB-B 3.2 Gen 1 uplink and two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 downlink connectors, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Note that a USB Type-C connector is not included. For convenience, MultiView function is provided, which allows you to simultaneously connect and display images from two sources. Settings can be configured using the Evnia Precision Center software.

The stand allows height adjustment up to 130 millimeters, as well as rotation and tilt. The monitor also supports the VESA standard 100 by 100 millimeter VESA mount. HDMI, DisplayPort, USB, and power cables are included.

As for the price, it’s priced at £399 in the UK and €499 in Europe. Deliveries will start later this month in the EU, with the device going on sale in the UK in December.
