Meizu 22 unveiled with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip and Flyme AIOS

Meizu has officially unveiled a new flagship smartphone Meizu 22 and an updated ecosystem Flyme AIOS. The release comes after several postponements — the launch was originally planned for August.
The smartphone weighs 190g with a body thickness of 8.15mm. It gets 2.5D micro-arc glass on the front and ultra-thin bezels of 1.2mm on each side. The company calls the design «50:50 Balanced», emphasizing symmetry in the hand. There’s a separate AI button on the case that supports more than 20 quick actions.
Display and eye protection
Meizu 22 features a 6.3-inch display with 1.5K resolution and 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches 6000 nits, and there’s support for full coverage of DCI-P3 color space.
The screen integrates RuRan Eye Protection technology, combining hardware blue light reduction and DC Dimming to reduce eye strain.

Performance and battery
Based on —a chip Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 with a 4500 mm² VC cooling system. A 5500 mAh battery with support for 80W wired and 66W wireless charging is responsible for the battery life.
Flyme AIOS 2 and ecosystem

For car owners, integration is available via Flyme Auto 2 and the Flyme Link system.

But full connectivity options are only available in the top-of-the-line 16GB + 1TB version: that’s the one that supports UWB, USB 3.2, and DisplayPort 1.2. The other configurations are limited USB 2.0 (480Mbps), which looks weaker than the competition.
Limited Edition
Meizu has also released Homecoming: China Flagship Limited Edition. It features a custom aircraft carrier-style interface, a unique back cover, themed accessories and metal commemorative plaques featuring the Fujian aircraft carrier and the J35 fighter.
