Telegram started showing ads between posts in channels

Advertising blocks used to be placed only after all posts, but now they can appear between them. The changes were announced by MTS representatives. The changes apply to ads placed via the Telegram Ads platform supported by the MTS Marketer and Marketer PRO services.

Automatic application of the new format
The new ad display format is applied automatically to all ad campaigns and requires no additional customization by advertisers. The updated display supports all ad formats, including text blocks, banners and videos.
History of Telegram’s ad launch
Telegram introduced native advertising in October 2021. Ads are shown to non-Premium subscription users in public channels with an audience of 1,000 subscribers or more. Until recently, ads were exclusively placed after all posts.
