Vivo has officially announced that the Vivo X200 series will be unveiled on October 14 at 7:00 pm local time in China. This new lineup will not only bring significant improvements, but will also be the first to debut MediaTek Dimensity 9400 – the first 3nm chip in the Android ecosystem based on TSMC’s process technology. MediaTek has confirmed that it will unveil its next generation of chips on October 9 in China. While the company hasn’t officially announced that it will be exactly Dimensity 9400, all indications are that it will be.

The Vivo X200 series will be the first to get the Dimensity 9400 chip. This chip features a new main processor Arm Cortex-X925, which delivers a 36% performance improvement and a 41% increase in artificial intelligence capabilities over its predecessor Cortex-X4. In addition, the chip includes the GPU Mali-G925 Immortalis MC12, which is currently Arm’s most powerful and efficient GPU to date. In tests run in the GFXBench Aztec 1440P benchmark, this GPU achieved 134 frames per second, which is 86% faster than the A18 Pro and 41% better than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

Vivo has confirmed that the X200 series will include three models: Vivo X200, X200 Pro and X200 Pro Mini. These devices will be the first phones powered by the SoC Dimensity 9400. The X200 Pro Satellite Edition equipped with this chip has already achieved an impressive score of over 3 million points in the AnTuTu test, making it the first Android flagship with such a score.

The Vivo X200 series promises impressive capabilities in mobile photography. The main feature X200 Pro will be a 200-megapixel periscopic telephoto lens with an aperture of f/2.67 and a focal length of 85mm, equipped with a V3+ image processing chip. This telephoto lens covers focal lengths from 15mm to 85mm and is similar to the lens on the Vivo X100 Ultra.

The X200 Pro and X200 Pro Mini models are expected to feature a Sony LYT818 main sensor with an aperture of f/1.57 and a focal length of 23mm. For optical zoom, the X200 Pro Mini will get a 70mm mid-focus periscopic lens. According to reports, the X200 will have a 50-megapixel main camera with a Sony IMX921 sensor and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with a Sony IMX882 sensor (or LYT-600). All three models will get an ultra-wide camera with a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 sensor.
