Sber smart ring goes on sale in Russia

Sber has unveiled Russia’s first smart ring. The 5 grams device tracks vital signs of the body, analyzes the data with AI and gives health recommendations. Sales started on September 24 at a price of 24,990 rubles.
Design and autonomy
The body of the ring is made of PVD-coated titanium alloy, the inside is made of hypoallergenic polymer. The device works without recharging for up to 7 days. It is available in eight sizes and two colors — «black chrome» and «gray chrome».

Sensors and metrics
The ring tracks heart rate, blood oxygen levels, physical activity, sleep phases and wakefulness. Algorithms convert the data into comprehensive metrics: sleep duration and quality, stress levels, and what’s known as «body resource» —a composite measure of well-being.
All of these metrics can be used to measure the body’s health and well-being.
High accuracy is achieved because the ring fits snugly on the finger, where blood vessels are close to the skin.
The Role of Artificial Intelligence
All data is displayed in the app, where a GigaChat-based personal counselor is connected. A neural network trained on medical data with the participation of doctors analyzes the user’s performance and generates individual recommendations on sleep, stress management and physical activity.

In 2024, GigaChat successfully passed the «Medicine» exam and received accreditation in seven more specialties, including cardiology.
If there are any abnormalities, the app notifies the wearer and suggests they contact a doctor through SberHealth.
Medical research and development
Sber confirms the effectiveness of the ring with hundreds of hours of testing, including polysomnographic studies. Specially developed neural network algorithms were used.

The SberDevices team worked on the project together with Sberbank’s Health Industry Center and medical specialists. Experts from Lobachevsky NNGU, Clinical Hospital No. 1 of the Russian Presidential Administration, the Institute of Higher Nervous Activity and Neurophysiology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, SberHealth and Medsi» participated in the development.
