The iQOO 15 Ultra flagship, launched in China earlier this February, has hit impressive sales milestones right out of the gate-moving around 15,000 units within its first three days on the market.
A tech blogger shared early sales data for the iQOO 15 Ultra, revealing that the initial stock-about 15,000 smartphones-was fully snapped up within the first three days. These figures come from independent market monitoring sources and aren’t official company stats, but they clearly indicate strong demand for this premium device.
Prior to this, insider Digital Chat Station reported that the Ultra’s early sales numbers outpaced expectations. According to data from JD.com, the smartphone has been selling about 1.5 times faster than last generation’s Pro version during a comparable period. On day two, the sales momentum surged to between 2.3 and 2.4 times that of the initial Pro launch. The insider also highlighted heightened interest in models with expanded memory, particularly the 24GB RAM and 1TB storage option, which is proving especially popular among first buyers.
The iQOO 15 Ultra positions itself as a gaming flagship powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It sports a flat 6.85-inch Samsung AMOLED display (M14 panel) with 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, enhanced with improved touch response optimized for esports.
Cooling is handled by the Ice Dome system featuring active airflow circulation, designed to maintain peak performance under heavy loads. The phone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 and offers a triple camera setup: a 50MP main sensor, 50MP ultra-wide lens, and 50MP periscope telephoto.
Battery capacity stands at 7,400mAh with support for 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging.
Pricing in China starts at 5,699 yuan (about $825) for the 16GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, rising to 7,699 yuan (roughly $1,115) for the flagship 24GB RAM + 1TB model. Despite such strong local interest, the iQOO 15 Ultra is unlikely to launch outside China, limiting its global availability.
