Xiaomi announces Bluetooth tracker with Apple Find My and Google Find Hub support

Xiaomi has finally revealed details about its highly anticipated Bluetooth tracker, the Xiaomi Tag. The device has already appeared in European listings with confirmed pricing and is positioned as a contender against Apple’s AirTag. Xiaomi Tag features both Bluetooth and NFC connectivity and is compatible with Apple’s Find My network as well as Google Find Hub.

Previously, information about the tracker was scarce, but Xiaomi France has now published comprehensive details about the accessory and its features. According to these specs, the Xiaomi Tag runs on a CR2032 battery. It’s just about 7.2mm thick, and the company claims it can last up to a year on a single battery without needing replacement.

The tracker supports Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC but doesn’t include an ultra-wideband (UWB) chip. This means it lacks the precise location tracking capabilities found in AirTags. However, Xiaomi hinted that a UWB version could be released in the future, though no timeline has been announced yet.

Xiaomi France lists the starting price at €17.99 for a single tracker and €59.99 for a four-pack set. The exact release date is still unknown. Rumors suggest the official launch might coincide with the unveiling of the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra smartphones, alongside the Xiaomi Pad 8 and Pad 8 Pro tablets, potentially ahead of MWC 2026 in early March.
