HP unveiled the Shadow Elf 2026 compact gaming PC with a mobile Core i7 and RTX 40 graphics cards

HP has launched the Shadow Elf 2026 gaming desktop PC in China as part of the Omen 16L series. The new product has a compact 16L chassis and is aimed at gamers and content creators who need high performance in a small footprint. The system utilizes Intel’s Core i7-14650HX mobile processor paired with Nvidia’s latest RTX 40-series graphics cards.

The Shadow Elf 2026 is powered by a 14th generation Intel Core i7-14650HX processor with a hybrid architecture: 8 performance cores and 8 energy efficient cores, for a total of 16 cores and 24 threads. It has a maximum clock speed of 5.2GHz and 30MB of L3 cache.
The graphics subsystem is represented by Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 graphics cards with 8GB of memory, RTX 5060 8GB, RTX 5060 Ti 8GB and RTX 5060 Ti 16GB. All are based on Blackwell architecture and support ray tracing, DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation, Reflex 2 and Frame Warp. Support for Nvidia Studio drivers and ninth-generation video codecs is also announced, making the system suitable for video, rendering, and AI tasks.

The computer can be equipped with up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM at 5600 MT/s. Storage is PCIe 4.0 SSD up to 1TB, with a second slot available for an additional SSD. Wireless capabilities include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
Cooling is handled by a tower cooler for the CPU, as well as a 120mm fan on the front and a 90mm fan on the rear. The cooling system is designed to handle a processor’s heat pack of up to 110W. HP claims improved air circulation and reduced noise compared to the previous generation. Power is provided by a 400W or 500W power supply with 80 PLUS Platinum certification, depending on the configuration.

The front panel features three USB-A 5Gbps ports, one USB-C 10Gbps port, and a 3.5mm audio combo jack. At the back, four USB-A 480 Mbps ports, an Ethernet RJ45 connector and three audio outputs are available. The graphics card is equipped with one HDMI and three DisplayPort.
Sales of the HP Shadow Elf 2026 will start on December 29. The base version with RTX 3050 8GB, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD is priced at 5,699 yuan. The configuration with RTX 5060 8 GB, 16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD costs 6,799 yuan, while the variant with the same graphics card and 32 GB of memory — 7,299 yuan. A model with the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB, 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD is available for 8,299 yuan, while the top-of-the-line version with the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB — for 8,799 yuan.
