Honor’s next flagship tablet will be thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge

Honor has confirmed that it will unveil the Magic V5 foldable smartphone on July 2. This device is supposed to be a direct competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7. However, the Magic V5 will be announced exclusively for the Chinese market, so there may be no real global competition for the Korean flagship.

Along with the foldable smartphone, Honor will also show a new version of its tablet, the MagicPad 3. One of the main features of the device will be its thickness – just 5.79 mm. That’s even 0.1mm thinner than the ultra-thin Galaxy S25 Edge.
The MagicPad 3 isn’t the only thing that’s going to surprise, though. According to the head of Honor’s tablet and IoT devices division, the new device will have “the industry’s highest-capacity battery”. Earlier it was reported that the battery capacity will be an impressive 12,450 mAh.

Unique display and top-end stuffing
The tablet will get a 13.3-inch Oasis vision-protected LCD display, which will be built on dual DDIC driver technology. This will deliver high resolution and higher refresh rates – parameters that are rare for an LCD screen of this class.

Design and colors
Honor has already released the first official images of the MagicPad 3 in the Floating Gold version. Two other colors, Starry Gray and Moon Shadow White, are also expected.
Prices and Availability
MagicPad 3 will be Honor’s most advanced tablet, and therefore the most expensive. That being said, the global version could be even more expensive than the Chinese version.
