Lenovo Tab K9 officially presented: specifications and features

Lenovo has announced a new budget tablet, the Lenovo Tab K9, which is also known as the Lenovo Tab One. The device features an 8.7-inch LCD display with 1340 × 800 pixels resolution, 480 nits brightness, and 86% usable screen area.
Performance and Software
The tablet is powered by a 8-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor and comes with Android 14 with Lenovo’s proprietary Lenovo ZUI 16 shell. The manufacturer promises an upgrade to Android 15 and security updates until January 2027.
Memory and battery life
Lenovo Tab K9 gets 4GB of RAM and two internal storage options – 64GB or 128GB. There’s support for microSD cards to expand storage.
Autonomy is taken care of by a 5100mAh battery with 15W fast charging support, providing:
- Up to 12.5 hours of video playback
- Up to 16.5 hours of web surfing

Cameras and Multimedia
- Front camera – 2 MP (fixed focus)
- Main Camera – 8 MP (autofocus)
- Two speakers with Dolby Atmos
- One microphone
Communication and security
The tablet supports:
- WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3
- GPS, GLONASS, Galileo
- LTE variant works with GSM, UMTS and LTE bands
The Face Unlock is offered as data protection, but there’s no fingerprint scanner.
Dimensions, package and colors
The Lenovo Tab K9 weighs about 320g and will be available in two colors, Luna Grey and Seafoam Green. The bundle includes USB Type-C 2.0 cable, 20W charger, and SIM tray scraper.

Lenovo also teaser the Idea Tab Pro for the Indian market. The new product will get a 12.7-inch 3K (2944 × 1820) display at 144Hz, MediaTek Dimensity 8300, 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. The tablet will support Google Gemini AI with Circle to Search, Instant Translation and Chat Assistance features.
