Reliable whistleblower Ice Universe has shared renders revealing the front panel design of the upcoming model. The focus is on — the bezels, corners and the overall aesthetics of the device.
The Xiaomi 16 series, expected to be released in late September 2025, promises to set new standards in screen-to-body area ratio. According to Ice Universe, the smartphone features LIPO technology, which will make the bezels around the display one of the thinnest on the market. Renderings show a reduced front camera in the form of a hole below the screen and unusually rounded corners — the author of the leaks calls them «the most rounded corners in smartphone history». The resulting design is smoother and more harmonious than Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro, which could be a new direction for Xiaomi’s aesthetic.
