Ahead of its anticipated October launch, Honor has shared fresh details about its flagship Magic8 lineup.
Honor has announced that the Magic8 series will feature a dedicated AI 2 button.
The company’s CEO James Li said in a post on Weibo that the Magic8 series will get powerful «hardware» that will use artificial intelligence capabilities to optimize performance when it’s needed. The smartphones will run on the company’s proprietary MagicOS 10 shell with a built-in SOTA-level MagicGUI language model.
MagicOS 10 will provide deeper AI integration that can automate a wide range of tasks, as well as improve device interactions within the Honor ecosystem.
In the meantime, a Chinese insider has published an image of one of the Magic8 series smartphones. It shows a new button on the side edge, which is rumored to be solely responsible for artificial intelligence functions. The insider also compared this design element to the side bezel of the upcoming iPhone 17.
