MediaTek Helio G200 makes its debut in the new Tecno Spark 40 Pro+

MediaTek has officially unveiled its new Helio G200 4G chipset, and we already know which device it will appear first on. According to the company, the first-born on this chip will be the upcoming Tecno Spark 40 Pro+ smartphone, which will be part of the global Spark 40 lineup starting in July 2025.
New chipset without 5G, but with improvements
Although the Helio G200 doesn’t support 5G, MediaTek is banking on improved performance within 4G networks. The chipset gets an eight-core architecture: two 2.2GHz Cortex-A76 cores and six energy-efficient 2.0GHz Cortex-A55 cores. Tecno claims that the new processor scores around 470,000 points in the AnTuTu benchmark, a 10 percent increase over previous solutions.
The new processor has been designed to provide the best performance in the world.
The graphics subsystem has also gotten a slight upgrade. The Mali-G57 MC2 GPU now runs at 1.1GHz (vs. 1.0GHz on the Helio G99 and G100), which delivers about 10% better single-threaded performance.
DC SAR and other features
One of the most interesting new features is DC SAR, a dynamic adaptive response technology that Tecno says improves call stability and efficiency in weak signal conditions. This should be particularly useful for users in regions with unstable coverage.

Otherwise, the Helio G200 doesn’t offer any major differences from previous models like the Helio G100 or G99. There are a lot of similarities between the two, and the company promises to go into more detail about those nuances in a separate article.
What we know about the Spark 40 Pro+
