The iPhone of the future: Apple is preparing a smartphone made of glass on all sides

Apple plans to radically change the look of the iPhone. According to a new leak, in 2027, the company may release an all-glass model with a curved body, with no bezels, cutouts, or noticeable transitions. This was reported by reliable insider Mark Gurman (Bloomberg), citing internal sources at Apple.
What will the «all-glass» iPhone look like?”
The idea isn’t new – Apple has already filed patents for designs where the glass wraps around the smartphone in a circle, without a metal frame, and effectively turns the body into a single piece. Current iPhones, even the Pro series, still have titanium or aluminum bezels that visually break up the device. In the new model, they plan to remove it completely, replacing it with solid curved glass.
Presumably, it will be the iPhone 20 -a model for the brand’s 20th anniversary, expected to be released in 2027.
No cutouts and Dynamic Island?”
According to The Information, the upcoming iPhone could also get rid of all front cutouts -no «bangs», no Dynamic Island, and no visible camera. All of this will be possible thanks to the under-screen technology that Apple has been actively working on for several years now.
If these rumors are confirmed, this will be the most dramatic iPhone design update in a decade.
What else is changing in the future?
Apple is apparently planning a whole wave of experimental iPhone models:
- Foldable designs (like Samsung’s Galaxy Fold)
- Super-slim models
- Edge-to-edge screens without frames or holes
- «Wrapped» displays on all sides
All of these concepts are being discussed as part of an internal project timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the iPhone, which is expected in 2027.
