Huawei Mate 70 series will debut this month

uawei has confirmed the launch of the Mate 70 series, scheduled for November this year. It is expected to be the most powerful Mate lineup yet, and the company’s first devices on Huawei’s HarmonyOS NEXT operating system. While the exact release date has not yet been announced, it is expected to be unveiled in mid-November. According to Yicai Global, most of the components for the Mate 70 have already been delivered, hinting that mass production will begin soon.

Four models are expected in the Mate 70 lineup: the Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro, Mate 70 Pro+ and Mate 70 Ultimate Design. Key specs have not been officially revealed, but rumors point to a move to ultrasonic fingerprint scanners, which will provide faster and more reliable performance even with wet fingers. The move would make Huawei among the frontrunners alongside Snapdragon 8 Elite flagships like the OnePlus 13 and Xiaomi 15.
Huawei’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite flagships will be among the first to be released.
In addition, the new series is likely to retain the recognizable camera design with the addition of laser sensors, as evidenced by leaked images with reduced sensor cutouts.

According to insider Digital Chat Station, the Mate 70 could get a more power-efficient processor and a high-density silicon-anode battery. Such a battery would provide increased capacity while keeping the device compact and lightweight. There may also be support for variable aperture for the 50-megapixel main camera, which will expand the shooting capabilities in different lighting conditions. However, final details are still unknown, and these rumors should be taken with caution.
