Google updates Gemini: artificial intelligence now remembers your past chats

Now when you start a new conversation with Gemini, you no longer have to manually search for previous chats in the sidebar or list on your mobile device. Artificial intelligence is able to:
- Summarize past conversations;
- Answer clarifying questions based on information already discussed;
- Continue projects or tasks that have been started previously.

This feature allows AI to analyze relevant chats and use them to create more accurate and useful responses.
Mention past data usage
When Gemini uses information from previous chats, it can indicate this in its responses by citing relevant sources or context. The feature expands on features introduced earlier in November, when Google added the ability to save customizations to responses, such as excluding meat recipes for vegetarians or creating code in a specific programming language such as JavaScript.

Where is the feature available?
The new feature is already starting to roll out to subscribers of Gemini Advanced as part of the Google One AI Premium subscription. It’s currently available in English via the web version and mobile app.
Google also plans to add support for other languages in the coming weeks, as well as integration for business and enterprise users of Google Workspace.
