Samsung and Qualcomm launch LPDDR4X automotive memory

Samsung has revealed a partnership with Qualcomm to develop premium automotive infotainment systems and advanced driver assistance technologies. This partnership has created a specialized LPDDR4X memory for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Digital Chassis platform.
Samsung said that it is working with Qualcomm to develop premium in-car infotainment systems and advanced driver assistance technologies.
This collaboration will provide long-term support for Samsung’s customers, including new products and technologies. The company will also guarantee supply chain stability and improved support for ecosystem partners utilizing the Snapdragon Digital Chassis platform.

Samsung also announced the development of the next generation of LPDDR5 automotive memory, with samples coming as early as the fourth quarter of this year. This memory will deliver the highest speeds in the automotive market – up to 9.6 gigabits per second, even in extreme temperatures.
