OnePlus Watch 3 officially unveiled: Wear OS 5, titanium bezel and 5 days of battery life

OnePlus Watch 3 is the next step in the evolution of the brand’s wearable devices. After a successful relaunch of the lineup last year, the company introduced a model with a number of key improvements, including a more durable design, larger battery, updated Wear OS and new health monitoring features.
Refreshed design and improved display
One of the main changes in the OnePlus Watch 3 is a redesigned body. Externally, the new product retains the asymmetrical design of the previous generation, but now the bezel is made of titanium and sapphire glass protects the 1.5-inch AMOLED screen. The crown has also been improved and is no longer just a decorative element, but a full-fledged tool for navigating the interface.
The watch comes in two colors: Obsidian Titanium (dark bezel) and Emerald Titanium (light). The case itself is not made of titanium, but only the display.

The device measures 46.6 × 47.6 × 11.75 mm and weighs 49.7 grams without the strap.

Performance and software
OnePlus Watch 3 is powered by two processors: the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 is responsible for the main tasks, while the energy-efficient BES2800 chip is used for background processes. This approach has already proven effective in the last model, helping to extend the device’s battery life.

The watch runs on Wear OS 5 combined with RTOS. This means that core functions like notifications and watch faces are handled by the lightweight operating system, while Wear OS powers the apps and extras. One of the new solutions is a video remote to control content playback on your smartphone directly from the watch.
Autonomy
OnePlus has increased the battery capacity by 26% over the previous model – the battery is now 631 mAh. The company claims the watch will be able to last up to 120 hours (5 days) in Smart Battery Mode, although actual battery life will depend on usage scenarios.

Health and Fitness Features
Watch 3 gets an advanced set of sensors, including an 8-channel heart rate sensor, a 16-channel pulse oximeter, and a wrist temperature sensor. You can now activate continuous heart rate monitoring, as well as utilize new features such as vascular age and ECG measurement.
One interesting new feature is the 60-second rapid health analysis. In a minute, the watch collects data on heart rate, blood oxygen levels, wrist temperature, sleep quality and the user’s overall health. However, the ECG feature won’t be available in the U.S. immediately after launch, but will be added at a later date.
OnePlus has also updated the sleep tracking system, increased the number of sport modes (there are now more than 100) and improved the OHealth app with new graphs and metrics.
