Slimbook VI is a powerful new Linux-based notebook with a high-speed display

The KDE community has unveiled a new laptop, the Slimbook VI, which runs the Ubuntu-based KDE Neon distribution with the Plasma 6 shell. The notebook features powerful hardware, a bright screen with a higher refresh rate, and decent battery life.

Slimbook VI has a stylish aluminum chassis and measures 356.6 x 248.5 x 20.3 mm with a weight of 1.85 kg. Performance is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor with an integrated Radeon 780M graphics card. The base configuration includes 16GB of RAM (expandable up to 96GB) and a 250GB SSD (up to two 4TB SSDs are supported).
Slimbook VI features a 16-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels and a brightness of 400 nits. The screen supports 100 percent of the sRGB color space and a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth display of dynamic scenes in games and videos.

The Slimbook VI is powered by an 80Wh battery that provides up to 12 hours of battery life on a single charge. Interfaces include two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A and HDMI ports, as well as Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
Slimbook VI also gets a keyboard with a number pad, four 2W speakers, and a 1MP webcam with a hardware switch.

The Slimbook VI’s base configuration is priced at €1,099 (about 110,000 rubles) in Europe. The notebook will be available soon.
