Computex 2025. Acer unveiled the Predator Triton 14 AI with graphene cooling

Acer showed off the slim and powerful Predator Triton 14 AI laptop at Computex 2025. It uses unusual graphene-based cooling technology, an Intel Lunar Lake processor, and an RTX 5070 graphics card, all for gamers and creators who want both performance and compactness.

Predator Triton 14 AI: Graphene, Power, and Compact

The Predator Triton 14 AI, a 14.5-inch laptop that’s just 11mm thick at its thinnest point, is Acer’s flagship product. Instead of classic liquid metal, the company uses graphene thermal interface. This solution, Acer claims, improves cooling efficiency by 14.5%. Paired with ultra-thin AeroBlade 3D fans, it keeps the case compact even under heavy loads.

The laptop comes with a stylus, and the tactile touchpad is almost imperceptible at first glance. The 2880×1800-pixel OLED touchscreen display supports refresh rates up to 120Hz and 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage. However, the brightness of the screen doesn’t exceed 340 nits.

Inside is the latest Intel Core Ultra 288V Lunar Lake chip, up to 32GB of DDR5-8533 RAM, and a 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. Also on board is Wi-Fi 7, Thunderbolt 5, and a full suite of AI features from Microsoft, thanks to a 48-teraflops NPU. All of this makes the Triton 14 AI a full-fledged Copilot+ PC.

Predator Helios Neo 14 AI: Same class, but simpler

A more affordable version is the Predator Helios Helios Neo 14 AI. It’s a bit bigger in appearance at 12.7×10.2×0.81 inches and weighs 1.9 kg. It’s got an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H or 255H processor and GeForce RTX 5060 or 5070 as the graphics card. It supports up to 32GB of DDR5-7467 RAM and up to 2TB of storage.

Users can choose between an OLED screen with the same parameters as the Triton, or an IPS display with a resolution of 2560×1600 and 165Hz. The Neo 14 uses the familiar liquid metal cooling system with heat pipes, Wi-Fi 6e, and Thunderbolt 4.

The RGB keyboard is divided into three zones, unlike the Triton’s individual backlighting. But for most users, this will be a subtle compromise, given the noticeably lower price, starting at €1,699.

Nitro 16 and Nitro 18 AI: Big screens and Ryzen AI

The Nitro lineup is Acer’s traditionally mainstream series of gaming laptops, and it’s getting an upgrade for AI trends in 2025. All models – Nitro 16 AI, Nitro 16S AI, Nitro 18 AI and Nitro V 16S AI – are built on the AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 (Strix Point) platform with Copilot+ support.

Nitro 18 AI features an 18-inch screen with 2560×1600 resolution at 165Hz, GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card, 32GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and a 2TB SSD. Cooling is based on copper and vector heat pipes.

The Nitro 16S AI uses the same graphics card, a 16-inch display (2560×1600, 180Hz), and the V 16S has a slightly simplified configuration with an RTX 5070 and USB4 support. Prices start at $1200-1500 depending on the bundle.
