CES 2025: Samsung has refreshed its Galaxy Book 5 lineup

At CES 2025, Samsung unveiled the updated Galaxy Book 5 Pro and Galaxy Book 5 360 notebooks, which now feature Intel’s new Arrow Lake Core Ultra processors with embedded NPUs. These devices showcase an impressive array of features and technologies focused on performance, artificial intelligence and the Galaxy ecosystem.

Key innovations: Galaxy AI and Photo Remaster
The two models support advanced Galaxy AI features such as:
- AI Select: a tool similar to Circle to Search on Galaxy smartphones, as well as Vision AI, which is used in Samsung’s TVs.
- Photo Remaster: an image retouching tool to improve the quality of photos, including old or blurry ones.

Microsoft Phone Link expands Galaxy AI’s capabilities by adding features like Live Translate and Transcript Assist directly to Windows 11 devices. The additional features are expected to become available with the release of the Galaxy S25 series.

The Galaxy ecosystem integration
From Samsung tablets and smartphones powered by One UI 7, users will be able to:
- Change PC settings via Nearby Devices.
- Access files on other Galaxy devices without downloading them.
These features allow seamless interaction between laptops, smartphones, tablets and other Samsung devices.

Galaxy Book 5 Pro offers up to 25 hours of battery life, and fast charging can restore 35% of charge in just 30 minutes.
Availability and pricing
The laptops will be available from February 2025 in countries such as Canada, France, Germany, the UK and the US, with further expansion to other regions.
While U.S. pricing has not been announced, in South Korea, the 14-inch Pro model costs KRW 1,768,000 (~$1,200), while the 16-inch version will cost KRW 2,808,000 (~$1,908).
