Linus Torvalds, the founder of Linux Linus Torvalds, commenting on this situation, emphasized that the reasons for such a move are obvious. He pointed to the impact of sanctions against Russia and confirmed that the decision is final. Torvalds added that attempts to circumvent the restrictions by using anonymous accounts or “troll factories” will not change the current state of affairs.
